I shot more this year than any year before, and threw away more too. Looking back through the archive, a few things stand out.
First, my best pictures were almost all taken within a mile of home. Second, the ones I like most were the ones I almost did not take.
Next year
Third, sharing work regularly, even small things, kept me shooting. A weekly letter to a few hundred readers did more for my practice than any course.
Next year I want to print more. A photograph that only lives on a screen is only half finished.
