The best advice I ever got about photography had nothing to do with cameras. Walk half as fast as you normally would.
At half speed you notice the cow watching you through the long grass, the way the wind moves through the field, the cloud just about to reach the sun.

Speed is the enemy of seeing. When we hurry, we see what we expect. When we slow down, we see what is there.
Next time you go out with a camera, set a timer for an hour and see how little ground you can cover.
